iCrash

I 'aint saying you treated me unkind
You could have done better, but I don't mind
You just sort of wasted my precious time
But don't think twice it's alright

This weekend, my beloved 15" PowerBook failed in what was literally the fifth time in the past two years. This time, it was the display that broke. Instead of my normal array of files and folders, I had only a swirling mass of colors and lines. Thankfully, Apple has agreed to flat out replace the machine with a brand new one (yay for AppleCare), but I'm not going to have it until the end of the week. The replacement process seems to consist of a bizarre process where FedEx shipping labels are FedEx'd across the country, broken computers are mailed, secret codes are entered into Apple's 800 support number, and new machines are sent out. Of course, doing something logical like GOING TO THE BLOODY APPLE STORE AND PICKING UP A COMPUTER would be inconceivable.

I'm trying to scrape something together to use in the meantime, but without a real development machine, I'm unlikely to be able to get much done over the next few days. Email will be read and processed as usual, and hopefully I can get a machine now and not fail all my classes.
