Drowning in UI

If you download a recent build and happen to visit a https site with an RSS feed, you'll encounter a urlbar which looks something like this:

busy-urlbar.png

In there we have one drag source (favicon), five buttons, and the original purpose of the urlbar, the URL itself. Surely there are more creative ways of adding functionality than just tossing more features into what should be a simple portion of the browser UI?

At the very least, the spacing/style of the buttons should be normalized to give a more professional finish.

What SVG bugs can't you live with for a year?

The gecko feature freeze for Firefox 3 has arrived, and though we're still seeing whether we can include a few new items, attention now shifts to bug fixing before the release later this year. To make the best use of the resources available, we would like to know what bugs are most important to SVG content developers.

Please download a nightly build and see what things you find are broken and that would hurt if not fixed for another year (rough timetable for a future Firefox release). Comment on this blog entry or file a bug.
