That's the trip to and from here (Indiana <--> California). I'm actually looking forward to it.

I was hoping to have a fun-filled stay out here, and while I'm trying to reclaim that after the massive layoffs, the way my current project is going, it seems unattainable.

I need to stay out here for as long as I possibly can, for a few reasons:

1) More time to visit friends, since I'm sure I won't be back for at least a couple of years (duration it'll take to finish school)
2) The weather/road conditions on either I-70 or I-80 will probably be bad, but will improve slightly the longer I remain out here
3) The money, of course
4) I can always use the work experience

I can't believe January is almost over. Everyone was right - time _is_ flying out here, but I wish I could enjoy it more.
