Bug Day this Tuesday 3/20 - Looking at Hendrix Feedback

Please join us this Tuesday 3/20 in #bugday to investigate problems reported by Firefox users through our Hendrix feedback system. We'll be identifying bugs as reported by the community and working together to find steps to reproduce. The goal will be to come up with a list of common issues this week... and then translate them into bugs next week.

For more information, please visit http://wiki.mozilla.org/Mozilla_QA_Community:Bug_Day#Topic_of_the_Day

We hope you'll be able to join us! Thanks.

Join us on IRC in #bugday tomorrow Tuesday 3/13 to help find duplicate bugs! For more info, visit: http://wiki.mozilla.org/Mozilla_QA_Community:Bug_Day

The Mozilla QA team and other community members will be around to help folks search for possible dup bugs in Bugzilla and work with them to see if there are other similar bugs already filed. It's a great way to get familiar with our bug tracking system and do good at the same time.

To prepare, you can check out:

Thunderbird 2 Vista Integration Now on the Branch!

The builds that will soon become Thunderbird 2 now have our vista integration changes starting today! We could use help testing these builds on Vista:

Thunderbird 2 Build With Vista

Here's a re-paste of some testing ideas I sent around last week:

* Setting as the default mail and/or the default news client from within Thunderbird (you should get prompted the first time you start up after you have an account)
* In Set Default Programs, you should see Thunderbird and Thunderbird (News) listed under Programs.
* Going through Set Default Programs, Thunderbird (News) registers the following urls: news, snews, and nntp urls. Thunderbird registers mailto urls and .eml documents.
* Save a message as a .eml file. Try opening that file from Vista, it should open a stand alone message window in Thunderbird.
* Try registering for individual protocols.
* Test MAPI. Right click on a file, choose Send To / Mail Recipients. this should open a Thunderbird compose window if Thunderbird is the default application.
* Test uninstalling the app.

Thanks!
