Major Vista Testing effort underway
The QA team is busily testing the Vista fixes that just landed on the trunk, and we can use your help verifying the fixes. Here is how you can help:
(1) Join the #vista channel on IRC (irc.mozilla.org) during the day. Some of the Vista testing team will be in the channel hammering away.
(2) Go to Litmus and run the Windows Vista Test suite. You can find it listed under Firefox.
(3) Go to the Community Test Day Page and run some of the scenarios that are listed on that page. This is the same page we will be using for the Test Day this Friday.
(4) Join our Vista testing list. Send an email ping to marcia@mozilla.org if you are interested in joining this effort.
Remember that we are testing on the trunk first, so the build you want to use is here.
Feel free to post significant comments here. Please check Bugzilla for filing any new bugs.

Another test day this Friday, Feb. 2 - Firefox on Windows Vista
Please join us on Friday for another test day specific to Windows Vista. A number of Vista-related changes did not make it time for last Friday's Testday, so we would like to have another test day specific to Vista this Friday, February 2. I will have a page up shortly that will delineate what we will be testing.
Would like to get some new faces in the QA channel, so please spread the word to all your friends and family running Vista so we can get some testing action going in the QA channel. As always, thanks for your support and help in testing!
P.S. If you are interested in joining our Vista testing list, please send an email to marcia@mozilla.org and I will add you to the list.

Thunderbird 2 Beta 2 Test Day this Friday!
In preparation for the next Thunderbird 2 beta, we will be holding a Community Test Day this Friday, January 19. Details are here.
As always, suggestions are welcome as to subject matter for future test days. Last Friday, we held a Community Test Day that was focused on Litmus Test Case Writing. While we did not receive many new test cases, we would like to encourage the community to continue to contribute test cases (you can always write them in your spare time :)) or suggest ideas for new test cases. We did have one community member who suggested some new test cases that concern low disk space, and this is a good example of how you can help make the Litmus test tool even better! As always, thanks for your continued support of the project.

Buggy Bar Extension
David Hamp wrote a great extension for bug triage called Buggy Bar. When installed, Buggy Bar provides a sidebar which brings up a list of bugs requiring confirmation. When a bug is clicked, a user can view the bug details and the steps to reproduce to confirm the bug.
This is a great example of what can be done with extensions for making testing within the community easier and more readily-accessible. With over 1100 downloads since December 20th, and 250 this week alone, it's reaching quite a few desktops.
Great work, Dave!
While I'm on the topic of Bugzilla, I would like to extend enthusiastic kudos to justdave and crew for the recent Bugzilla update and impending final release of Bugzilla 3. Favourite new feature? The munching dinosaur.
