I'm running the linux build over at AnandTech.com with the Force links that open new windows to open in new tabs option selected (should this selection not overidethe javascript preferenes -- even unselecting allow javascript to move or resize existing windows and raise or lower windows has now effect) and upon clicking reader comments, this offending code

causes the comments to open in a new window.

my banksite works, but barely. It uses a lot of Java to do their menus and it takes a LONG time for firefox to draw it. Safari works a lot faster,

I've had trouble composing new mails in gmail with the latest nightlies (for about 3 or 4 days now).

I can reply without a problem, but "compose" ends up with the little read "loading" sign on the top right and nothing happens ...

when I recieve mail it seems to take a long time to show in the mail window is this a problem with Thunderbird mail software or is it built that way.

Follow-up to my comment above: I clicked on the link again, and this time got complete filenames.

Follow-up again: I didn't download the file when I saw the full names. Now I'm getting the truncated names again!

Is the talkback server really busy, or just down? I have three crash reports lined up, and I'd say that could be useful information right now.

When writing a new message in Gmail, I get the wrong rightclick context menu, I would expect the "edit" functions, but I get the "browse" functions.

I get this same behaviour in Windows XP and Mac OS/X
10.4 (on Mac I also get this wrong context menu in the "to:" textarea)

(1) The Talkback server is a bit backed up right now.

(2) Regarding the truncated filenames, I have to ask Chase about that. I started seeing that a few days ago.

(3) Will investigate the hang after checking for comp updates.

(4) Will also further investigate some of the GMail issues being reported.

Great, Talkback is back up. Just submitted 6 incidents. Hope you guys get to fixing whatever the cause is (haven't been able to really spot a consistent cause, sorry).

Many of the extensiondevelopers seem to once again be a bit slow to adjust the max version for theire respective extensions. Meaning i dont want to update my FF to the current nightly. last stable (mostly stable anyway) seems to be;

I've tried every nightly branch build after my current version and the extensions i want and have installed seems to be there and working on every build. Some are offcourse disabled since theire max version aint adjusted according to the development centers recommendations;

Besides this minor irritating fact the extensions seems to follow the build very nicely. And rollback to an old build seems to work very fine to. Open the extension manager and right click the extension and enable. Those not compatible says so.

The autoupdate doesnt work for me on the nightly builds, but this seems according to the burning edge to be fixed with the latest branch build if i'm not mistaken;

Switching to source works but back to wysiwyg does not.

Note that the installer version nukes your "searchplugins" folder, so make sure to back it up. I sadly learned the hard way...

After I installed and ran the 10/26 build, whenever I have the bookmark as the sidebar and then click on a bookmark, the sidebar disappears.

I have been running RC1 for Firefox 1.5 the past half hour. I have specifically tested it at our banking site, with online bill paying. No problems so far. I have also tested it with checking and reading gmail webmail. No problems so far. Keep up the good work!

yEAH, IT ALL runs near smooth....the bank is a bit tricky thou. Something to do with the Java for sure. Cant seem to find out what it is. Seems to come every time i update to a new nightly branch build. But after loging out and loging in again everything falls into place. The bank is alerted and is checking it out. Not sure why this problem occurs. Anything else seems smooth. Except find as you type which sometimes want close after being used. Too early to say why.

Page is a bit strange anyway. I tried it with FF 1.0.7. Status bar reports it is running a java applet, but I didn't see any applet actually doing anything.

Firefox seems to play nicely with Charter One Bank and MBNA.

This test version of Firefox is ignoring plugins. Till now if I clicked on a MOV it would play in an embedded Quicktime player in a browser window. A PDF file would open with an Acrobat viewer inside the browser. Now these links launch external viewers instead.

I have read the bugs in bugzilla but I have no idea what I'm doing so I have not downloaded any patches. Sometimes my bookmarks for my toolbar don't show up, my window is smaller than it should be, I have about 2 inches of space taken up with nothing, when clicking on the address window, it doesn't automatically highlight, I have to highlight it myself and if I highlight some text in a window and right click I do not get the copy command, I have to go to Edit and then copy.
