*General browser surfing
Important notes:
(1) In order to minimize duplicate bugs, please consult the Bugzilla Hot Bugs link (most commonly filed) as well as The Bugs Filed Today before you file any bugs. You should also seach in Bugzilla to see if a bug has already been filed to address your issue.
(2) If you crash, make sure to include the Talkback ID in your blog comment or in the bug. It is also not necessary to paste the entire stack trace in the bug.
I am going to set up some test runs in Testrunner soon, in the meantime you can download these builds and you post your comments to the blog or in Bugzilla.
We are also planning a community testing day that will likely happen on Friday, stay tuned for more information.
As always, thanks for your participation and for making Firefox and Thunderbird better!

Up for a little weekend Firefox testing?
Feel free to do a little Firefox 1.5 branch testing in our Testrunner tool. I have created several Windows, Mac and Linux test runs for Firefox. Here is a link to the runs: http://testrunner.mozilla.org/test.cgi.
Here is a link to the builds we want you to test: ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla1.8
Please select your platform and pick a run. More than person can participate in a run, but you must refresh your page so you can see what other test cases have been completed in your run. If you don't have an account, you can still print out the test run and just record your results.

Helping us run a set of Firefox Condensed Basic Functional Tests
As we ramp get closer to the Firefox RC1, we want to have you participate in some more community testing. Tracy Walker worked hard to condense our larger set of Basic Functional Tests into a smaller set that is a bit more manageable and covers all of the basic areas. We have imported these cases into Litmus, but until that tool is ready for rollout we will continue to use Testrunner to have you run test cases.

Help us take the Litmus testing tool for a test run
We have been hard at work developing the Litmus testing suite, and would like those of you that are interested in testing to try it out. We would like you concentrate on the Basic Functional test, which is a condensed verison of our full BFT. Feel free to try out different areas of the BFT and do some testing.
Here is the url for testing: http://litmus.mozilla.org/run_tests.cgi
Follow these instructions:
1. Enter your system information at the above URL.
2. At the next screen, select Basic Functional Test, followed by the area you want to test. Click Submit.
3. Read the test instructions and the expected results to see what you need to test. Depending on whether the test passes or fail, click the appropriate radio button. It is better at this point to complete all of the test cases in the subgroup and then click "Submit All results." You can move to the next test case simply by clicking "Next."
Feel free to leave feedback about the tool by posting a comment, as well as let us know if the test cases are in an understandable format.

Firefox/Thunderbird 1.5rc1 and Gecko 1.8rc1 are quickly approaching
This post on the Dev blog explains more information about the plan.
Basically we did learn during the beta2 cycle that we need some additional QA time, so we have adjusted the schedule to reflect that.
Stay tuned, we are working hard to tune up our Litmus testing tool and plan to have a community testing day soon.
