First off, nice to see that this is apparently not going to be another "make Asa post a blog entry per day" thing.

On topic, I was wondering if we should announce that Bug Day on .l10n, so that we get those communities hooked up to testrunner early on. That may make our 30-something releases a bit less painful.

Before we let more people on the testrunner we should think about updating it and resolve some problems QA discussed in the wiki and in the mails.

Maybe some parts of TestRunner must be resolved/new designed so this things don't go in trouble.

So we need to discuss what is needed for a better TestRunner so it can be used for "FireFox Comeunity QA" and for "New Suite QA".

Make sure you monitor the memory usage while the tests run. I'm sure this will help flush out some memory leaks.

Great to see this kind of active communications initiative from MoFo. :)

One way to help The l10n teams to produce quality translations would be to present a way to test some of the new features with new UI in FF 1.1. This would surely be necessary for the rest of the QA people too..?

Dummy updates (program and extension update) would be a great way to see the localization in action in these less seen parts of the program... maybe some instructions on testing the reporter too (so that it wouldn't mix up with actual reports... if that's a problem).

Alex -- At this point, using Testrunner is more of an interim step to help with QA for 1.1 and get more eyes running tests before the release. I am working on improving Testrunner and rolling out a better solution to manage and track testcases. If you have any thoughts on how a testcase management system for mozilla.org should work, I'd be interested in hearing them.
