"Contact Departure, good day."

Monday, October 22nd, will be my last day at the Mozilla Corporation.

The San Francisco QUIET TWO Departure

I've been trying to come up with what to say after that sentence for couple of days now, and after all that time, all I got is "Well, at least you'll be spared from those pesky plane posts on Planet right?"

Except, even that's not quite true, since I'm planning to continue in my role as the release module owner and am hoping to play an active part in its development.

So that doesn't work.

...

Well... I'll keep thinking about what should come after that sentence.

Until then, it definitely needs to be said that it's been a pleasure and a privilege working with everyone at the Corporation.

I'll still be hanging out on IRC, if you need to find me... just holler, and you'll get me.1

Very nice idea your link to the departure procedure ;-)

So what's next for preed?

Also, it's been forever since we've hung out.

Good luck on your future endeavors! The downside of working remote is I'll get to miss any farewell event we do for you. I'd definitely come see you off in person if I were there.

We're gonna miss you! You can definitely say you left the release process in better shape than you found it, though.

Those flying trips you gave us rocked. I have some good memories and some nice pictures. Good luck preed, hopefully you'll be back in Toronto one of these days and we can catch up.
BTW, you're the only person I am aware of that puts footnotes in their blog.

Like you and your sentence, I'm struggling with trying to come up with something to write after this blog post. I will just say, don't be a stranger and you will be missed.

Good luck with whatever you are going to do next, man!

It's been a pleasure interacting with you and reading about the glamourous life of build-and-release (and flying). Wishing you clear skies ahead....
