I'm still searching for an IRC client on OS X that doesn't suck. Ircle is filled with tons of confusing options and has an utterly over-complicated UI while missing simple features. AthenaIRC is a joke that never works right. Snak seems ok, but still seems clunky with dialogs. Someone needs to write something with the brain-dead simplicity of iChat. If only I had the time.

Phoenix is coming along nicely, but it seems to be causing a lot of backlash in the Mac community for people that just want a browser-only version of mozilla (the Mozilla OSX drag-and-drop install doesn't allow a browser-only option). I guess Chimera isn't an option for them, for some reason. Not sure what to say there. I'd be curious to know what niche people think Phoenix fills that Chimera does not.

The Chimera mailing list has reached that special point where every disagreement turns into rascist name-calling and flame wars. It's disappointing, to say the least. As an admin, I feel I have certain responsibilities, but at the same time, I'm not the thought police. One would think we're all adults. Perhaps some are just more adult than others.

My blogs are so boring. Sigh.
