I'm not involved with Mozilla F. in any way, except I think they/you do great software. But if you have any gmail acount left that you want give away to some random guy, I would like to be that guy. ; )

While Gmail doesn't have IMAP support, it does now feature POP support. You can get this to act like IMAP if you set Gmail to keep a copy of any mail you download by POP and set it so that it always downloads all your mail (not just new mail). Then it'll be ALMOST like having IMAP support.

I'll probably won't use Gmail because of the lack of IMAP and because of Gmail's unethical business model based on the principle that emails can be scanned for another purpose than filtering emails or fighting against spam.

According to TechUser.net, Gmail would still be in beta because "Google is waiting on some patent applications" -- via http://insidegoogle.blogspot.com/2004/11/gmail-beta-all-about-patents.html .

Is Gmail evil ? :-k
