No, since "If I reboot Linux it's still there. But if I reboot to Windows and look for the file, it's gone! And if I switch back to Linux after that, it's gone there too."
So the file is already gone. :(

Their RC's and beta's are especially buggy as well. So maybe its just a Mandrake "gotcha"? I'm not saying this because I have some other magical perfect distro to convert you to, that's just my experience as someone who has followed Mandrake since they were just Red Hat + KDE 1.0 tacked on.
Mandrake 10 Community version aka "Big Public Beta" just went Gold yesterday. In a few months the real Final version 10 will be out, maybe wait for that version?
