Yep they are scared as hell of Clark. Right now he is the only one that can beat Bush.

What i think is interesting is i'm not sure if any of the crap on Drudge will really hurt Clark.

Although some of the Dem party activists might not like it, they are going to go all out for whoever gets the Dem nomination. After getting so badly burned with Nader, and with how bad this admin has been, they really don't have a choice.

The real quaestion i have right now is who should be Clarks VP? Right now i'm thinking a Clark/Gephart ticket would be very cool. You have the 4star general who everyone loves, and then a VP that knows how washington really works.

Interestingly, I think this latest Drudge stuff already got deflected, by Clark saying something to the effect of, "Yeah, I supported them [the president and his administration], and they let me down."

Regarding the possible ticket, I'm not so sure what I would prefer. As I said, I'm not sold on Dean, and not quite sold on Clark yet either; I want to hear a bit more about his positions, although I like what he has to say about core liberal and democratic values.

Gephart and Kerry are interesting, Gephart might fare better than Kerry, although Kerry has the Vietnam card, Edwards is not interesting, Sharpton is sharp and quick-witted, but has too much baggage. Mosley-Braun is extremely eloquent and has good opinions on the issues. Kucinich isn't "too left" for me, but he's not able to craft his platform into anything that would win outside of his local electorate. Lieberman lost me with his incessant, mean-spirited attacks. And Bob Graham I had to struggle to even remember.

Clark sounds really interesting to me and the Republicans are extremely scared of him pulling away those moderate republicans that Bush needs in order to win a close election. Clark I think did a fine job, he said he wasn't partisan during his days in the military and that now he went to the only party where he could express his views. His ideas, however few that we know of, really seem to be his own ideas and not just ideas to look like a Democrat. He has got a presence on stage and handled himself quite well in that debate.

Still waiting to hear out his positions, but he is the first person in this field that has views that are extremely similar to mine (at least what I know of so far). I also honestly think that he could beat Bush.

He had a meet and greet today in Manchester, NH (where I go to college), but I couldn't attend since I was at my intersnhip and then had classes. He has an event up at NEC (New England College) tonight that will be on CSPAN at 7pm. I am going to try and watch hit.

Clark seems very similar to McCain in a lot of ways early on...which is exactly the type of candidate NH independents loves.
