Comments: I suck.

In the same boat here on KOTOR. Bug fixing Extensis stuff in 4 languges and spending the rest of my time using Force powers to do very bad things to people who piss me off. It's the only thing left at the end of the day now....

Every time I use a dark force power against someone, I hear "Wipe them out, all of them."

Argh, I'd love to play that game, but I have no XBox.

And I'm not buying one.

Nah you dont suck, you're just a busy busy person and you like your video games, I should be blogging more myself but stuff like University registration and keeping myself up-to-date on software, as well as saving up my money made me become way behind on things I wish I should've done ages ago :(

Hey Dave - you need some down time, so don't worry too much!!

Looking forward to Safari 1.1! Thanks for the snippets of info about this in the last few weeks on Surfin' Safari....

Just wondering though: Any possibility of a hint as to which technology you favour incorporating into Safari first? I followed your suggestion thread for this very closely a couple of months ago. My vote's still for XSLT, but anything's great - I'm sure you guys'll get it all done eventually, keeping Safari the best browser bar none!

Keep up the good work!

I don't want to burdern your person blog, but can you post a permanent link on your safari page for how to report/check bugs? (Don't see it on apple.com/safari.)

I need to check - for rpc needs - if safari now loads scripts through createElement correctly.

Thanks.

This is exactly the reason comments were turned off in Surfin' Safari. Please don't post off-topic comment in future.

You report bugs with the bug button, and check them by running the latest version of Safari and seeing if they are still there. I'm sure Apple will make an announcement on their web site if this changes.

Posted by Josh at August 25, 2003 3:37 AM

Dear Josh: Don't have a Mac, bonehead, and I obviously want to query about a bug, not report one. Asking for a link to find an answer.

Posted by stylo~ at August 25, 2003 10:18 AM

No, stylo, you're wrong. Dave Hyatt specifically removed comments on his Safari blog because of continual bug reporting, nagging, etc.

Now, if you're really interested in Safari, you'd know about the bug reporting button. There is no way of checking on a current bug's status. If you don't have a Mac, why do you care? If you have a reson to care (you do web design, etc), why don't you have a Mac?

Posted by Joshua (a different one) at August 25, 2003 5:36 PM

How the heck would anyone know the unposted rules for Mr. Hyatt's weblog, which is listed on mozillazine next to his safari weblog? (A note and resource link as I looked for would help everyone.) How would anyone know about Safari bug reporting if they don't have safari? Why would every single *little* developer in the world buy a Mac just to check on once in a blue moon? (If you want to buy one for everyone in the world who will ever build a website, thanks!) Jeez.

Well, screw safari support then until Apple or Safari users post support docs or can answer simple questions from people trying to support a puny user base. (E.g., Dave doesn't like safari questions here, sorry, and I don't know the answer, but try x.com/safari/dom_support.html, or email to safari@apple.com. Good luck and thanks for thinking of little old safari's 1%!)

Surely, stylo, you will bring down Apple and Safari both with your lack of direct support for Safari.

Back on topic...
Don't worry about blogging, Dave. KOTOR is very, very worth it. Metroid Prime is sucking up my time that I should be devoting to my website maintenance and 3rd year of school...but who can so no to a intergalactic space girl with a bitchin' suit of armor?

>>you will bring down Apple and Safari both with your lack of direct support for Safari.

Yes, quite obviously I am now determined to bring safari to its knees. Yet another good, helpful answer. How fortunate to have the three wise J-men present. But we're all apparently off-topic as we've been informed by some guy, so... off to opera.com to check some docs.

It's been three weeks... you really do suck ;-)

Posted by Piet Snot at August 31, 2003 3:46 AM

Yeah, now it's been well over a month. You're starting to approach suckage. ;)

Holy lack of blog, Safari-man!

Posted by Joshua at September 17, 2003 4:25 PM

Hey, David,

I'm just curious, do you participate in the kfm-devel list at all? How often do you interact with the Konqueror developers?

Posted by Rene Horn at September 18, 2003 5:25 AM

trying to download attachments in Safari from hotmail.com logs you out. Works fine with every other browser :P
