Comments: Thoughts on Matrix: Reloaded

I agree with you completely Chris. I am thankful someone else is out there on the Internet who doesn't just want to rip Reloaded to pieces without giving it a good critical analysis. I think that the Wachowski brothers might have an 'Ace' up their collective sleeve when it comes to Revolutions, which might even bolster the overall meaningfulness/quality of Reloaded.

But that's just me.

Although everyone is criticising this film for not being 'philosophical' enough, i thought that having to follow the first film was always going to be difficult. For what it's worth, I loved reloaded and thought it was better than the first one. They brothers have raised the bar again and hav set the scene for an amazing final part of the trilogy. This film is darker, with a hardened Neo and more intensity between characters.

I agree!! Some people are slating Reloaded and i think these people dont know what they are on about. I mean its better than the first with the visual effects and action etc and Reloaded has more of this.
Was this not why people loved the first one?
Sure its a similar film but then its a sequal yeh?

Anyhow my message to the people that have been slating the film is this:

If your going to try and jump on the bandwagon that is the Matrix Reloaded that everone is going to see, at least see the first one and understand what to expect from the film and if you dont like action/effects in films then simply dont go and watch it to for the sake of it and because others (Matrix Fans) are going mad over it!!

i don't think so. they blew it really didn't they. the fight sequences are too long, too repetitive and redundant. the plot lost it's tension and has become strictly for geeks who don't mind fighting over the difference between light and shadow. c'est shame vraiment
