That's cool, because RSS feeds that only provide summaries are worthless. I don't want *headlines*, I want *aggregation*. The way LiveJournal lets you aggregate all the blogs you read onto one page is the best. thing. ever.
Posted by Jamie Zawinski at January 28, 2003 3:09 PMJay - Since the page would be the XHTML, you'd have the full text in it. If you used the same file as your RSS feed, you couldn't get the excerpts. So for excerpts, you'd kinda need an RSS feed.
Posted by Kevin at January 29, 2003 5:03 PMWell I didn't actually mean excerpts as in the Moveable Type Excerpt field proper, but many sites make liberal use of the Extended Entry text, preferring to put only the first paragraph in the Entry Body for indexes leaving the FULL text for the individual entry pages.
That is basically an excerpt if you compare it with full text.
