*envy* All we have in Mountain View now is an almost uniformly cloudy day, first one I remember since spring. A good snow would be *awesome*. :-)
Posted by Jeff Walden at October 18, 2009 5:02 PMHm, you must be in Boston, too. :)
Posted by ispiked at October 18, 2009 6:46 PMMy thoughts precisely. :)
Posted by mitcho at October 18, 2009 7:17 PMI'm not sure this qualified as a "good" snow, though the flakes were humongous. I mean... it was up near 40 degrees. Just snowing. I was mostly glad I wasn't outdoors.... nothing wrong with snow, if it's under 25 outside or so, but snow in the mid-30s to 40s is just a mess. Cold water everywhere.

Posted by Boris at October 18, 2009 7:22 PMI meant precisely what I said, that a good snow in Mountain View would be awesome -- not that the snow in Boston was good or not good. But, judging by the brief clip from the Patriots game today that I just saw during Sunday night football halftime, it does look pretty epically awesome -- reminded me a little of the settings for the infamous "tuck" play six or so years back that, coincidentally, also involved the Patriots.
Posted by Jeff Walden at October 18, 2009 7:57 PMAh, yes. Has MV _ever_ had a good snow in recorded history? ;)
Posted by Boris at October 18, 2009 8:04 PMDunno, but I can dream, can't I? :-)
Posted by Jeff Walden at October 18, 2009 8:31 PM"first one I remember since spring". Didn't it rain in MV just last Tuesday?
Posted by Abi at October 19, 2009 12:45 AMI was out of town most of the day Tuesday (Thursday through Tuesday, more precisely), flying into SJC around 18:00, so I couldn't say if it was uniformly cloudy that day.
Also an important caveat: most weekdays can't count because I'm in an office at that time, not looking outside frequently enough to describe any such day as uniformly cloudy. There may have been such days that I simply didn't notice.
