Instead of sending email, how about a simple wishlist:
Safari problem to be fixed:
-Flash rendering is very slow.
-Hotmail is reporting that Safari doesn't support Javascript. Oddly enough this problem isn't 100% repeatable, but Safari is blocked by this site most of the time. Same deal in Blogger pro.
-Safari is a little bit overenthusiastic about establishing itself as the default browser. Even after another browser is selected in default, Safari keeps starting up when clicking through on email links.
-Font rendering does not respect system-wide anti-alias settings. (ideally the system setting would be respected, and more advanced users could tweak in the plist (I?d actually like to be able to se content and browser text rendering separately).
-Left hand dock is not taken into account when spawning new windows.
Safari HI/UI wishes:
- Tabs (for the Chimera crowd). I think you could one-up everyone else by making tabs dockable and undockable... In other words if you have more than 2 tabs, and you drag one out of the main window, it becomes it's own window. You should also be able to join windows with a key command or a key-modified drag of the title bar.
- Ability to swap out the metallic interface for alternates.
- Smart iTunes-style live filtering of bookmarks/history.
- Drag and drop of text to the desktop.
- Plug in architecture for inline search (so one could swap out google for something else).
- Option to use the tab key to move between links & highlighting of the last tabbed-to item.
- More/smarter contextual menu options.
- Smart autofill w/ multiple profiles.
- ability to pause, reload, and resume downloads.
- optional activity indicator
Other wishes:
-ability to keep Safari/IE/Chimera/Omniweb bookmarks in sync (my suggestion here would be to make iSync modular/accessable from any program and to allow plug-ins for different classes of data [bookmarks, phone numbers, addresses, and so on]. )
- better cookie/certificate management
- editing of file helpers
- keychain support
- ability to save quicktime content with control click.
- better handling of acrobat files
