In case the Pool Playing Bastards are interested...

in other news, today google announced their IPO and Asa posted a picture of a squirrel for me in his blog. IMO the latter event was much more exciting.

Paper may be our undoing.

was watching a documentary about 9-11 last night. they mentioned that the amount of paper that was in the tower helped fuel the flames and caused the structure to collapse at a more rapid rate than it would have otherwise. so much for a paperless society.

Firefox and Thunderbird: praise and thanks

Reading Asa's 4/22 blog entry reminded me that I should thank both Ben and Scott for all of their hard work on Firefox and Thunderbird too. I use Firefox as my default browser and Thunderbird as my default mail client on the Mac. Life doesn't get any better when I have this dynamic duo running on my Mac.

Quote that Best describes my mood today...

"Leave everything. Leave Dada. Leave your wife. Leave your mistress. Leave your hopes and fears. Leave your children in the woods. Leave the substance for the shadow. Leave your easy life, leave what you are given for the future. Set off on the roads."

Andre Breton

Oh, and by the way - last night I dreamed I was camping out and it was raining my fears.

Fiddler on the Roof

Today I went to see John Gaunt (a former co-worker and one of the best margarita blenders around) in Fiddler on the Roof (http://www.sunnyvaleplayers.org/). It was a great show, and the definitive highlight was John performing The Bottle Dance. The show only runs until 5/2, and I highly recommend going to see it if you are in the Bay Area.

Vicodin shortage in San Jose?

A former co-worker advised me that a local Walgreens was out of Vicodin when she went to fill a prescription. Interesting....perhaps Vicodin is the current drug of choice in Silicon Valley?

UCONN!

haven't blogged in a while, this victory is worthy of an entry. We are on the verge of the Sports Illustrated prophecy coming true (those of you that saw the pre-season NCAA SI cover know what I mean). I now officially bleed blue and white. Too bad Pav didn't take my bet - I would sipping Cristal as we speak.

Also, today was the anniversary of Kurt Cobain's death - how is it possible that 10 years have elapsed? For my birthday, I would like this: http://www.nme.com/news/107976.htm.
