Nintendo Records Best Holiday Selling Season in U.S. Video Game History

Nintendo.com News : Nintendo Records Best Holiday Selling Season in U.S. Video Game History

Go Nintendo! I love this system. I believe it's the first real innovation in game play in a long time. The controls really feel like the first step onto the bridge to virtual reality gaming.

Sure, more expensive systems have better graphics, but they cost a fortune and don't offer the revolutionary play experience that Wii does.

Nintendo also has a winner with the Virtual Console, which is allowing people to buy and play older Nintendo games - as well as older Sega and TurboGrafx 16 games - on their Wii to create one cohesive Nintendo gaming experience.

Lastly, the Wii offers an Opera browser that allows you to surf the Net from your TV. I got my Wii online wirelessly and I must admit I enjoy the heck out of it.

Nintendo really has started something in the gaming market: graphics powerhouse machines with dated gameplay technologies vs. revolutionary game play (with darned decent graphics).

If you're looking for a new console, I highly recommend Wii over (or in addition to) the insanely priced competition.
