I've decided that it's probably a bad idea for me to post to Mac-centric topics. Amiga users and Mac users never got along, and they likely never will. When people say that Amiga is a religion, they're most definitely right. Mac is a religion, too. I am just never going to see things eye to eye with Mac folk, period.
My opinion on Apple is, to put it in a PC fashion (that is, politically correct), that they're not focusing on the things that could make them a real contender in the PC market. I think they spend far too much time worrying about appearance. Appearance of the hardware, appearance of the interface, appearance of their packaging, etc.
Sorry, but I see Apple like the AOL of computing - what's inside doesn't seem to matter anywhere near as much as what the outside looks like. No wonder they're losing the market for schools. Schools don't care what their computers look like, as long as they work well and are cheap.
It's like the funky-looking PT Cruiser. Sure, they look trendy, but it's a bloody Dodge Neon except for the body (a dealer told me this). Don't give me a pretty renamed Neon, give me a pretty Prowler, or, better, a Viper.
