New ESPN.com Sucks

ESPN.com rolled out a redesign of their front page tonight, and I think I pretty much hate it right now. My main reason to go to the homepage at ESPN was to view both the headlines, and the news for my four teams, the Chargers, the Padres, the Canadians and the Cavs. They had a handy sidebar that would let you see both the local paper's stories on the teams, as well as ESPN's features on them. When they were in season, it would also show you either the latest scores or the upcoming game. All of this at once down the left side, easy to find because of the color difference. Now? Now it lives essentially below not one fold but two (having to hit page down twice to see it), and it's in the middle of the page. Now that all the background colors are some shade of grey, it doesn't stand out at all, and on top of that, it only lets you see one team's news at a time, closing the previous one when clicking the next one. They've at least left it alone on the subpages, so I can at least find it there for now. Very boneheaded.

At least they provide RSS feeds for the headlines and Bill Simmons, so I don't have to dig around for that. If only they'd do that per team....

Save Our Bluths

Please watch Arrested Development, if you ever have the chance to again. That is all.
