I'm Out

So, according to my consent form, I had an "elective bronchoscopy, a thoracotomy and subsequent pulmonary metastectomies". Which is the long way of saying that they cut me open and removed seven secondary cancers from my left lung, The operation was a great success, and there were no complications. I'm now back in my flat in North London, resting but also getting plenty of exercise to make sure the lung expands properly.

I probably won't get around to processing my mozilla.org email backlog until next week.

Hey man,
I've been subscrubed to your blog for a couple months now from here in Florida, and just wanted you to know that you've been in my prayers a lot. God's on your side, man!

Really glad to hear that everything went well with the operation. Was it on the NHS or did you go private?

Glad to hear it, Gerv. :-)

Neil T.: I was going to have it done on the NHS, becuase I couldn't believe that work's health insurance would cover it, as it's a pre-existing condition. However, my manager insisted I check, and it turns out that it was! So I went private. This had two great advantages - I could choose my dates to fit in with the rest of my life, and the food is much, much better.

Hey Gerv, just checked in because we were wondering how you'd come through the operation. Looks like things went OK. Best wishes. Also, I'm going to need your address again (I'm sure I have it somewhere, but hey, let's be lazy, shall we?) to send you the Wisconsin treat I promised.
