Google Chrome
First thing Google Chrome did - install a GoogleUpdate service. Of course, uninstalling it didn't remove the .exe for the update service.
Apple auto-installs iTunes, everyone screams murder. Google does it, it is fine. Nice.
I'm sticking to Netscape 4, uses even less memory!

i can't tell you how many times i uninstalled that crap...but with all their products, i can see their idea of using it.

I think the real murder-screaming started over Apple's "Get this updated software (or rather, brand new software)" fiasco. Check out:

Google may be using that updater service for more than just Chrome, so it might be expected to stay. Out of curiosity, so you have Gears (or any other Google software) installed?
If not, then hopefully Google will fix their installers to pull a "Last one off the system takes the updater with them".
