Firefox gets Arrested

For all you Arrested Development fans, Firefox was used in the 2nd episode that aired Monday. It was the browser George Sr. used to search for "Jet Pants". Interestingly enough. it seemed to be running on Linux (Suse would be my guess).

Hmmm, I'm not even sure it's Firefox. It's definitely older than version 0.9, so it could be Firebird or even Phoenix!

First of all, there's another screenshot here for you to take a look at. Now, here's my take on the screenshot.

First off, they're using Qute. Asuming they didn't change the default theme (a fairly safe assumption IMO), this means they are using either Firebird 0.6-0.7, or Firefox 0.8. (Perhaps someone with a lot of old Fire(bird|fox) versions laying around could figure out exactly what version it is).

As for the title bar, it looks like KDE, although I am not a Linux geek, so I could be wrong.

BTW, what's up with the search engine? I mean, InfoMole, sheash.

There's actually another shot of him using it when searching at "infomole.org" which shows the KDE taskbar.

The screenshot shows the search engines tool. When was it added to Firefox? Was it present in Phoenix or Firebird?

@Onkar: IIRC, the search tool has been there since at least Phoenix 0.5.

they used firefox in episode 312. 5m 15s on the LOL release.
