For those with Gmail Notifier problems...

0.3.2a should fix the problem where clicking on the icon doesn't load Gmail.. Seems ff's built it updater doesn't work well with characters in the version, so it won't show up there.

Is there an easy way to make it so that when I click on the icon it directs me to https://gmail.google.com/gmail instead of https://gmail.google.com/? That way you would avoid seeing the "Redirecting to /gmail" message.

I know that it shouldn't bother me but for some reason it does. I'm a crackhead.

0.3.2.1 is a pretty neat version, if you ask me. :-p

Yes, in the last hour it begin to fail show the number of emails and when I clicked on the icon the not logged in screen comes up. When I click same it says "failed to log in" please check user name and password. They are both correct. I hope that it is not Gmail trying to disable the Notifier. Doran's extension is one of the best Firefox extensions. If Gmail is trying to disable his extension then I will be throughly disgusted with Google. In fact without Doran's Notifier I no longer wish to have a Gmail account.

This is definitely something that Gmail is doing to stop the Notifier from working properly. MailNotifier 1.07 beta 2 is not working as well as GmailXP beta. Google is going to have a revolt on their hands if they don't stop this nonsense. I am very serious, without Doran's Notifier for Firefox I simply do not wish to maintain a Gmail account! Google must be out of their minds.

Isn't Google supposed to have a "do no evil" policy? This seems a little evil to me. I can understand them shutting down people downloading their email from gmail, but the notifier doesn't circumvent their Google ads in anyway. They shouldn't have a problem with it. Hopefully this will get cleared up, until then it's back to keeping a Gmail tab open.

Google is fast becoming the new Microsoft. What arrogance. They should get on their hands and knees and kiss the ground that Doron walks. What idiots blocking his Notifier. If this stands, I am paying $20 a year and moving to Yahoo! Shaking my head in amazement at Google. I hate to burst Google's bubble but it is just email. They better get busy and quick before Yahoo! introduces Oddpost.

I'm not about to complain about something that's not only free but also kickass, however, it bugs me that single-clicking the statusbar icon brings up gmail. That seems more like a double-click option -- is there anyway you could make that an option? Out of habit, I keep ending up with two gmail windows.

Yay! Too comments in a row from me. D'oh. I'm having a trouble with the new version: the statusbar item is blank (I can click on the area after the separator, but it doesn't say "Gmail" anymore).

Secondly, and this is why I upgraded from 0.3.1, the notifier can no longer log in. It says invalid username or password, even though they are valid. Ever heard of this problem before?

Scroll up and read the board. Google has killed all of the Notifiers. Nothing works. The word is getting out. I called Google and told them that we want our Notifier and we want it now.
