Mac Shredder dogfooding request
We think we're ready to declare a branch date for Shredder alpha 2. Unfortunately, over the weekend, our Mac Tinderbox machine that provides us with builds has gone wonky, which means that we haven't had nightly builds to use as dogfood to verify that it's in good enough shape. gozer has provided us with hand-spun bits to tide us over; once we get some folks dogfooding these enough to believe they're about right, we can declare a branch date
If you're a hardy soul who is willing to help us test, please try these bits and let us know how they work for you...

I've tested this hand-spun bits. I'm happy to be an owner of an Intel-Mac, because this build seems to be Intel-only. It works fine on my machine (iMac8,1). It's a little slow, but I found no disadvantages compared with my main build (the CPU usage profile is different too).
I'm everytime interested in the Configure arguments of a build, so I read them out. Why does this build have "--enable-shared --disable-static --enable-static --disable-shared"? This doesn't make any sense to me (but maybe it make sense and I don't understand it).

@Nomis: glad to hear it's working for you. About the configure arguments, I'm not sure; that's an excellent question. I'll pass it along to gozer. :-)

I've tested this hand-spun bits Before live in the United States , but I have not found what is unique.

@yahee: we were just trying to be sure that things were in good enough shape to declare a branch date. We ultimately decided that they were; 3.0a2 should ship soon.
