I just updated the Thunderbird start page a bit. I think this one looks more modern than stylish compared to my original design.
Old vs New.
Posted by djst at February 11, 2005 2:48 AMVery nice, reminiscient of the original, yet cleaner. I like it :-)
Posted by: Neil Paris at February 11, 2005 5:14 AMNice!
Some little comments though:
* I don't like the (extra) spacing between the letters in the headers and the bullet list
* Can you make the TB logo a bit smaller, it tends to crowd the space when viewed in the default 3paned message view
Greetings, Alfred
Posted by: Alfred Kayser at February 11, 2005 9:03 AMIt sure looks better than the old one, but it doesn't scale properly (the old one does).
Posted by: timo at February 11, 2005 12:26 PMI think it looks great, the top is sweet :)
Posted by: Tom Sommer at February 11, 2005 3:57 PMI don't like the round-cornered rollovers in the links. For instance, when your mouse is over "RSS Reader" it looks like the R is niet highlighted.
I also think you should remove the gradient background (white to lightblue, it's in the old version too); you see stripes on my monitor.
Posted by: Kevin at February 11, 2005 8:33 PMI tried it in thunderbird... and it looks really nice!
Very cool!
