Status update for week ending May 13, 2005

Highlights
- Firefox 1.0.4 security firedrill, release turnaround in less than a week!
- all new build machines mounted in colo, most configured for building, rest on their way
- pending (as of May 13) Thunderbird 1.0.2 locales have been released

Firefox 1.0.4, Suite 1.7.8
- meetings, emails, bugs
- informed mirror community of impending release
- tracked incoming patches, performed respins as necessary, followed build progress
- prepared AUS for the new Firefox release and coordinated testing with QA
- tagged source code and created source tarballs
- configured download.mozilla.org for the new products and file locations
- collected en-US files, renamed, signed, and pushed them to the FTP site
- repeating this process for each locale that gets sign-off (26 locales so far)

New build systems
- prometheus moved into place as Firefox trunk Linux build system, still need troubleshooting to enable building with profiled optimizations
- pacifica now building Firefox trunk Windows completely
- patch created and some testing performed to allow Windows parallel make-based release builds
- replacement DL360 build system arrived, configured it with RHEL AS 3.0, named galactica

Build changes
- canvas is now enabled by default in Firefox trunk builds
- iconv installed on patrocles

Releases
- Firefox 1.0.4
- Suite 1.7.8
- Thunderbird 1.0.2 (locales pending release pushed - woo!)

Et cetera
- ntpd now working as expected on ocean, triton, atlantia, sprite
- at dbaron's request, converted ocean's hardware clock to store time in UTC
-- /sbin/hwclock --systohc --utc
-- set UTC=1 in /etc/sysconfig/clock
- fix MiniMo Tinderbox to show guilty list
- need to enable SVG for suite, xulrunner builds

fi-FI has not been added to download/all.html even thought it is staged on the ftp-servers.. (as seen earlier on n.p.m.l10n)
