The principle of the matter

I uploaded my nsIPrincipal patch just now to its bug. I don't really like the idea of trying to push it in without being able to accurately and thoroughly test it, but the good thing about Mozilla is that so many people download it daily and can test it for me. This will ultimately be the best test harness anyway, since there are so many different combinations of things that this patch could affect. I'd rather get this patch landed early in beta so as to give more time for people to catch regressions. I don't foresee many, but you never know.... Posted by caillon at July 10, 2003 6:17 PM

What does this patch add to Mozilla? Extra funcionality in the DOM of mozilla, did we already had some support for this and are you extending that functionality. Or is does this patch give us a boost in DHTML performance?

So many questions :) i was just wondering because i love to read about the perf. of DHTML in Moz.
