Prefwindow V Hits

I've landed PrefWindow V. There are probably still a few remaining issues that I have not yet seen, so please report bugs. Also, test Sanitize! (In search of a better name, if you can think of one).

IE7

Will this be the last gasp of a dying empire - or will it be the moment when, given the best chance in years the followers of open software and standards turn and flee?

You decide.

Game on.

IE and IDN

A lot of sites are now claiming "only IE safe from IDN flaw". What I have not yet heard is whether or not IE with the Verisign IDN plugin (which is very common in countries where IDN use is prevalent - e.g. Japan) is "safe" or not.

These incidents appear to be a failure on the part of domain registrars who are not checking IDN characters for spoofed registrations as they should be. This threatens to undermine IDN in general. In the mean time the Mozilla Security group is putting together a plan of action to ensure the maximum protection in the interim.

Closer to Preferences Completion...

I've been busy... but am finally nearing the light at the end of the tunnel on the new pref window - fixing a lot of bugs, making some UI changes based on suggestions, etc. I'd like to get some testing builds to people sometime this week.
