Associate XPI files with Explorer

Ever want to open .XPI files in Windows Explorer using Windows XP's built in ZIP handling rather than use Winzip? It's really difficult to create a handler for .xpi that uses CompressedFolder, but now you can set it up easily, just download this registry patch and double click on it. Presto! XPI files handled by Explorer.

Happy Holidays

Some brief comments as I haven't said much lately....

- I now have a new laptop. Eventually deciding that all laptops will experience problems, and it's better to pick the company with the best support network, and having discovered that most places sell support plans that require you to mail the systems back to them, I ended up just going with Dell again.

I got something unusual however because I was skeptical of their home line of notebooks after experiences with my I8100.

Dell Precision M60
Pentium M at 1.7GHz
1Gb RAM
60Gb 7200rpm (!!) HD
NVidia Quadro 700Go graphics with 128Mb RAM
15.4" WSXGA+ (1680x1050) display
2 batteries for a whopping 6-7 hour battery life!

Firebird compile times on my various systems are as follows:

Skyline (2.6GHz P4/800MHz FSB/1Gb RAM/120Gb 7200rpm disk): 26 minutes
Gloria (Dual 2.0GHz G5/1Gb AM/160Gb 7200rpm SATA disk): 28 minutes
Starscream (1.7GHz P-M/400MHz FSB/60Gb 7200rpm disk): 21 minutes

I may have found the perfect computer ;_;
