Deer Park Alpha 1
Web and Extension developers should download Deer Park alpha1 today if they want to check out the latest advances that have been made with Mozilla platform technologies in the past year. Check out the release notes (linked above) for information about what's new. Included are new web developer features such as SVG, canvas, etc and many improvements for Extension authoring.

I understand that FF1.1 will handle extensions differently than FF1.0; how difficult will it be to port those over? Will end users be able to (in most cases) use extensions written for FF1.0 in FF1.1?

I'm not a developer or anything, but I have heard that extentions are still working. I don't know if it's true for all of them though.

Bookmarks synchroniser isn't working, and the website doesn't respond anymore. Maybe the end for this extension ? Very sad, because it was using a rather modern export format than archaic bookmarks.html, painful to parse...
Working here : Webdev Toolbar, GMail Notifier, Flashblock and Colorzilla.

I think that Deer Park Alpha1 was okay, but Mozilla has to work on features that will make more Internet Explorer users switch over. Read my blog about Firefox here.
