Help us with Tiger integration!
We're always looking for ways to improve our support for the different platforms that we run on. We're all very excited about some of the new capabilities exposed by MacOS X Tiger, but most of the core development team is swamped with 1.1 bug tracking, feature work and security bugs and so I'm asking for help.
For starters, it'd be good to have some actions for Automator (at least a set that offers compatibility with what Safari supplies, and maybe a few other things), and support for Spotlight. If you're interested, join the discussion in bug 293322 (Automator) and bug 293323 (Spotlight) - we need functional specifications (a list of preliminary actions, supported data types etc), UI drafts where appropriate (for Automator Action configuration). This should be intensely interesting work for anyone who loves MacOS X development and Firefox.

It's really a good idea…
• Make it a faster launch time, if it’s possible;
• I still can’t use Osx “Services” via the Firefox menu;
• The javascript alerts are still in weird windows that cause some problems (Safari alerts are really good);
• An interface closer to Osx usual look (Camino does it better);
• Cannot copy formated HTML;

OK, this isn't exactly Tiger, but OS X-related. Before adding all this awesome whiz-bang stuff... Could you please make it so that cmd-. stops a page loading? This one bugs the living daylights out of me. It's probably my number 1 complaint about FF. (Other than speed.) Other GUI quirks you might want to check out: the form/address bar focus error, the fact that clicking out of a form field is sometimes impossible, and the issue with entering a form and then trying to use the scroll wheel on your mouse.

I'd just like Firefox to work well on Mac first.
Most annoying thing about Firefox on mac is having to switch to Safari if the web page uses Flash. Flash does not render in FF for some reason.
Also slow startup time.
When using HTMLArea embedded in web page sometimes cutting and pasting makes the refresh loosing whatever I typed.
FF stops accepting input, can switch and type on any other app but FF won't accept anything you type.
If these issues were solved then I could use FF 100% for my browsing and then I can start asking for better integration.

THe number one problem people have with using the internet is that sometimes using the internet is just slow. YOur priorities for building a webbrowser as it relates to the average user should be as follows :
(1) Fast start up
(2) Fast page rendering
That is just my very very humble opinion. I would hope that the mozilla development team will focus greatly on improving firefox's ability to run well on the mac os ten operating system.

I think Gatan might be suggesting something may be "inadequate" about Ben's anatomy (see penis post above).
Great browser btw!

I would really like to see support for native OSX on-the-fly spell checking in web forms, this is one of the things I most miss about Safari (yes, I know about Spellbound, but last time I checked, it wasn't on-the-fly checking).

Have you thought of using Growl (http://growl.info) for download notifications? A lot of people seem to really like this as it does not interrupt work flow. Or at least I like to think that :P

A few ideas for improving FF in OS 10.4:
(1) Faster startup times
(2) Snappier page loading
(3) Update the UI (see: Camino)
(4) Incorporate the dictionary
(5) Let the middle-button open link in new tag (see: Windows version)
Its really the UI that makes FF so unappealing on the Mac. I understand we can use themes but a little more syncing with the UI parameters that Apple has laid out would be more than welcome.

I have always found that vertical page scrolling is EXTREMELY slow in OSX Firefox. In Panther, Safari wasn't much better, but with Safari 2.0, they (Apple) seemed to have licked it and now Safari's scrolling is quite fast. Personally, this is my main issue with Firefox.

I have noticed since updating to OS X Tiger that I've been having problems when typing replies in message boards, and it doesn't matter what message board type it is (Invision, vBulletin etc..) it's not allowing me to backspace, delete or fix any errors that I have made while typing (yeah, I know.. perhaps I should type correctly the first time) I did not have this issue with Firefox in Panther.

I've been having a lot of problems with firefox going into endless shame spirals and I have to force quit or it crashes in its own. Only happened when I upgraded to Tiger

So -- is there an extension that would contact each of the spammers and give them all the other spammers' email addresses? Or something worse?
Meanwhile, those of us staying with OSX 10.3 can only hope you all will remember -- there are reasons besides the price to avoid the latest and greatest from Mr. Jobs, always.
