i have a beard again
A couple of people who see me regularly in person noted that my profile photo and other photos of me around the Web are a bit misleading because I've been sporting a full beard for the better part of this year. It probably won't survive 2009, but that's no reason not to share, so here's a quick iPhone snapshot that my friend Rey took.
It's getting a little bit (some might say that's not emphatic enough) out of control but I'm kinda digging it.

I had no clue that you were moonlighting as a mobile habitat for endangered animals. It's very admirable!
The word on the street was that you were going to shave once you finished the move. What's up? Haven't unpacked your razor yet?

But Asa, what about shaving a "5" on each side of the woolly mammoth on Nov9? Now that would be a podcast which may get the same cheering reaction as on Mozdev in Prague ;o)

As a long-haired, long-bearded fellow professional myself, I enjoy seeing more of us hairy professionals.
There has to be a special little place in hell for whoever spread the notion that a man has to scrape every vestige of his Manhood off of his face with sharp blade in order to look "professional"...
