Cute indeed. It would be cool if Mozilla could sponsor one and have it named Namoroka (or other). An official and live Firefox mascot. Plus your expenses would be paid for a trip to help launch Mozilla Australia. :)

I like the use of moz-transform for a hover effect on your titles. How about text-shadow for banner2?
Ya I know, moz-transform was a bold step for you to take considering that you like to keep your blog simple.

Ken, I'm using text-shadow. It's just really, really subtle.

#banner2 a {
text-decoration: none;
color: #EEEEF2;
letter-spacing: 0.028em;
text-shadow: #8B8B9C 0px 0px 1px;
}

#banner2 a:hover {
color: #F6F6F8;
text-shadow: #585863 0px 0px 1px;
}

#banner2 a:active {
color: white;
text-shadow: #19191C 0px 0px 1px;
}

Now that I've got a darker background,

I'll probably crank that up a bit more, but it's surprisingly nice to just limit it and other "outlines" to very minimal impact. You don't really see it, but take it away and the blog title has considerably less "punch"

Sorry, I don't think that's the Firefox in the Firefox logo. The Firefox logo shows a fox, the animals in your picture looks like raccoons.

Ya, I suppose that I could have looked down 4 more lines in your CSS to see text-shadow. :)

I'm loving text-shadow. It can be used to really bring greater visibility to active and hovered items which for me saves time scanning and focusing on things.

I'm working on some demonstrations on this but a cool example is using dark text with a light colored shadow, and something like 1px 1px 1px against a somewhat dark background will give you a flat and kind of engraved looked, and to contrast that and make things pop out and look 3 dimensional you'd increase the blur and offsets and change the shadow color to a darker one. It's quite cool!

Hover over "Access This!" and the tabs to the right and you'll see what I mean. Though ignore the seriously outdated content. I just redid the theme and I'll be updating the content more frequently.
