We shipped Firefox 3.5 at about this time yesterday and already 5 million people have downloaded it. You can watch our live download stats here and see where those downloads are coming from. (In case you were wondering, no, that's not Flash. It's a nifty SVG, Canvas, and JavaScript app.)

so Firefox 3.5 didn't make any new Guinness Record?

gateoneo: I guess it's better to try to beat the old record with an upcoming x.0 release than make a call for everyone to download on every big release including x.y ones. It'd get old fast.
Asa: how come it gets blurry when zooming if it's SVG?

This is a great release. It really invigorated the browser experience on one of my old laptops and my virtual machines. I've been using it on my desktop for a while, so no real change there.
I think you've got Apple's "11 million in 3 days" beat hands down - and your downloads are for actual use, not just a system component. :)
