Almost two years ago, our family grew by one -- a bunny named Munch.
He and the cat get along quite well, occasionally playing chase (Munch is the chaser and Ptolemy is the chasee.) Once we've finished moving into our new home, the family is going to expand again, possibly dramatically. Hopefully it will go as smoothly as it did when we added Munch.

Hope Munch likes it in the woods - there are coyotes up the road a piece, but rarely in the woods - no bears (they haven't figured out how to cross north of hwy 17 yet), but LOTS of raccoons!!! Cute critters, but not to be trifled with - and please do not feed them! The tourists in the park do that all summer, so expect hordes of them in the Fall when their summer meal tickets go home. Oh, and they can open just about anything, including doors -- in the Spring, the mommas will bring their kits around to teach them where you keep anything remotely edible and how to get at it.

Cool! What's his or hers name?
Are you going to populate the woods with 843 bunnies in your first month?

RyanVM, more four legged kids, of course. Two legged kids ain't anywhere in our plans.
Jack, yeah, the cat and bunny are indoor only except occasional supervised trips outside on leash and harness :-)
We'll definitely take your advice on the raccoons. We have a few of them here, and skunks too. We also volunteer up on the mountain so we see the occasional coyote. Hopefully the mountain lions are more scared of us than we are of them. There have been several that wandered down into the surrounding neighborhood here but we've never run across them, thankfully.
Ken, this photo is of Munch. We don't have the other family additions yet, but will be hitting all the rescue and foster organizations as soon as we're moved in.

Ohhh, Munch looks much more black to me in the other photo. Must be the blinding Sun bringing out his highlights but that's why I thought that it was a different bunny. :)

Ken, yeah, he's actually a mix of brown and black, with scattered white hairs too. Here he looks especially brown because of the warm sunlight.

Two legs or four? :-)
