not the prom queen or king yet, but increasingly popular

Firefox is the most prevalent Open Source software package

reactions, thoughts, comments, etc.

I was a little puzzled by the results at first. I expected Firefox to be way out in front, but it's not. Then I looked closer and realized that packages really means packages, so many of the listings are for libraries. If you look for end-user applications, Firefox is well ahead of OpenOffice.org, 20 points back. (Still a decent showing!)

But then I noticed that less than half the systems (all of which are Linux) are reported to have bash installed and started to wonder again whether these results are really meaningful.
