Ugh... Sloan. I'll never forgive them for killing the local underground scene in Halifax during the early 90's. There were so many great bands, then Sloan came along and Halifax got the rep of being the 'Seattle of the east coast'. After that bands started getting ignored by promoters/labels. It took a decade to shake that stigma.
