rovers improving
The Mars Exploration Rovers are starting to get a break in the bad weather. It's not a lot, but enough to move Opportunity out of the critical zone. Spirit's actually getting a bit less light than earlier, but the rover's in no danger and the storm seems to be clearing slowly.

I think that's just awesome. I've been paying attention to the Rover news over the years, mainly by reading your blog, and that project as been very fascinating. I often like to make fun of NASA for their numerous colossal failures, but I think this mission is one shining example of the excellent work that some brilliant engineers and scientists at NASA can do. It speaks volumes that these little guys have far outlived even NASA's own expectations.

And don't you ever forget that those things went on masrs' surface by crashing and bouncing several times against rocks inside a big balloon...

I wouldn't expect to see a NASA project posted on a Firefox blog. But thanks for the info. I didn't know what was happening about the rovers these days. It's amazing they're still running!

IceArdor, I've been posting at this blog before Firefox existed. I've always posted on my interests in Astronomy and Space Exploration. I also post about my travels and my family. This is my personal weblog and it always has and will continue to have content outside of my work life.
