Dear Asa, could you explain to me how we ended up with two search options (Ctrl+F and /) instead of one for Firefox 2? Really, I don't see these things as distinct features, nor do they provide me with any convenience while searching, especially because simply / is too limited and Ctr+f makes the search bar unable to disappear after a while.
Oh, and while I'm at it, could you advocate a simple way to introduce tabs to the new/regular user, without letting him/her use keyboard shortcuts, the file_new tab or clicking on nothing next to the last tab? Really, Opera and IE have a decent way of visualizing this option to the user, why does Firefox not have such an option?
I'd like you to think about these options for a while, and maybe present them to others while drafting the new Fx 3 UI. Thanks a billion!
