exciting addon thumbstrips
I've been playing around with ThumbStrips, a very interesting firefox addon coming from the Innovation Lab at Intuit. I really like it for quick access to history items and while I'm still trying to get used to how moving through history changes the order and how navigating the Thumbstrip interacts with tabbed browsing, so far I think it's a pretty nifty tool.
I guess the next step would be playing around with the sharing features. If you've been using ThumbStrips, let me know what you think about it. Maybe we can experiment with sharing.

Just a bit of information on the questions in your post:
>> There is a default sort setting in ThumbStrips - putting your most recently viewed thumbnails at the end or your strip automatically. You can see (and change) the different sort options by going to "menu" and selecting "sort".
>> ThumbStrips captures where you've visited across each tab within your browser, but when you open a new browser instance, you will get a new ThumbStrip. This way you can keep using tabbed browsing, without fear of losing pages.

Yes, keeping it free is the plan for individual use like this.
