fotofox

I'm not big into the online photo sharing world, but I know some of you all are so I thought I'd pass this on.

A new photo uploader add-on called Fotofox just launched over at AMO. It's a great extension for accomplishing what should be a simple task: uploading photos to online photo services.

Check it out, and tell me what you think of it.

Update: any additional feedback should be posted here, where the author is more likely to see it :-)

Could be good, but some popular services are not supported...there are too few to choose from. I hope they'll add some more.

maybe if the author reads this, i wish for a file upload extension as well, it should be easy to make since you got the image uploader code working anyways..

once this extension has imageshack.us support, im sold.

Yeah i use zoomr and picasaweb. My partner uses photobucket.
All unsupported.

I have yet to find an extension that handles these kinds of sites as good as flock does. That being said i never use flock, but the partner does and only because of the photobucket intergration.

i swear addons.mozilla is getting aesthetically worse every day.. now the star rating has been replaced with uber small text.. YUCK!

well, maybe if AMO wasn't being spammed with hundreds of toolbars from Conduit.com, maybe this useful extension could be easier to find!!

Yes, I must say we have to watch out for Flock. great ideas and shares much of the firefox ecospace. still buggy and I won't use it fulltime until I have bookmark folders (they plan on it with symlinks)

There's also one called SmugManager that is tailored specifically for SmugMug that has undergone a lot of work recently.

Also there is: SmugBrowser - Firefox/Flock Extension

And we've gotta thank the mozilla folk for a browser that lets people write such cool and powerful extensions.

Hi JeffW,

Just to clarify SmugManager doesn't allow uploading. It's a tool for easy navigation of SmugMug administration pages.

While, SmugBrowser allows management of albums/galleries and uploading.

Cheers,
