It may be the end of the road, but certainly not the end of the mission, for the Mars Explorer Rover Opportunity. The team will probably send Opportunity down into Victoria Crater to explore even though there may not be a way for the rover to climb out of the crater.
This isn't really so bad. This crater is the largest and most interesting feature within reach for Opportunity and the rover's spent much of its time on Mars moving toward this observation point.
