huygens' descent imagery movie

There are two great quicktime movies up at Planetary Photojournal that take you on the Huygens journey to the surface of Titan.

The first movie covers the four hour descent sped up to about 5 minutes and gives you a great feel for all of the probe's activity using video and audio. I was completely entranced. (If any of you have contacts or know where I could find the full sized version of this video, please email me.)

The second movie covers the nearly two and a half hour plunge into and through Titan's thick atmosphere.

You can find the rest of today's Huygens Titan images here.

Wow. Those were fascinating, to say the least.

Yup, a full sized version of the clip would be awesome!!

The "Sound of Titan" mp3s were the first things I had to download after they had been published by the ESA on Jan 18, 2005. LOL ;)

Thanks a lot for the heads up,
Dex

sineral: you beat me to posting by a few hrs; I can confirm that the DISRMovie one is indeed a larger version of the movie Asa wanted a bigger version of. http://www.lpl.arizona.edu/DISR/ is definitely worth browsing around.

Re: the title of the entry... Asa, I've seen the movie of the descent, and I'd say it goes a little beyond being "decent" :)
