stellarium
While I'm on the topic of astronomy, I wanted to point out a great open source planetarium application called Stellarium. It's available for Mac, Windows, and Linux so give it a try.

Have you seen Celestia? It's a "free space simulation that lets you explore our universe in three dimensions," and runs on Windows, Mac and Linux too. Dave Shea of Mezzoblue greatly enjoyed it.

Yes, this is an awesome program. I was linked to this by a fellow Open University student and haven't looked back since. It's great to skip ahead in time and see when it will be worth going outside for some star gazing!
