Check out Gerv's latest bit of coding over at the Hendrix test installation. You can read all about Hendrix -- our general feedback gateway, it at Gerv's blog post.

This tool will give our users a more appropriate (than Bugzilla) mechanism for submitting general feedback and is a great first step in returning some sanity to Bugzilla. One of the next steps will be the launch of the "report a broken website" tool. Between the two of these, I'm hopeful that we can pull a bunch of the noise out of Bugzilla.

We've still got the challenge of better handling what comes in to Bugzilla, but preventing much of the general feedback and untestcased web page complaints from landing in Bugzilla is an important prerequisite to improving things.

That's great! I'll add it to my signature and to the *bird Help sites.

Er... David - Asa's post should read "test" installation, not "text" installation. The tool's only a preview at the moment, outputting to a test newsgroup. Don't promote it widely just yet...

Er... Michaell, I didn't say when I was going to add it. I'm aware of it still being in the testing phases.
