T.H.E.M. points out that with curl one can quickly and easily leech all of the nearly 1500 images from The Insect Company with a single command. Problem with this approach is that I still don't have the images all loaded up in a single browser window or even a handful of browser windows or tabs.
So, first I'd need a browser to find the images. Then I'd need curl (which conveniently seemes to have come with my wonderful OS) to download them. Then I'd need to open the images in some kind of nice image viewer that would let me batch them up so I could view hundreds of images at a time.
Curl looks like a pretty nice tool and I may start using it for some of the really large images that I sometimes wade through and the solution I outlined is certainly less than ideal even for these smaller images but until I find simpler method, I think I'll stick with this one.
