IBM continues its support of the Firefox browser with Firefox support in Domino 7. Go IBM!!
Posted by asa at August 10, 2005 09:52 PM | TrackBackIt's great that the web frontends of enterprise applications are usable with Firefox!
SAP Enterprise Portal uses many JavaScript features and with some recent service stack clients could use Firefox. Too bad, for administration purposes IE is required.
I use SAP Enterprise Portal and so I often need the context menu to for many actions, it's replaced by a nice menu from SAP. The same thing with TYPO3. Unfortunately, I can only enable or disable this feature in the Firefox settings for all websites, so while I need the replacement feature on some websites, it's annoying to have it enabled when browsing the web. And with Deer Park, I can only disable the whole set of "common annoyances". That means, just because I use TYP3 and SAP EP, I have to allow _all_ bad things for _all_ websites.
An "Exceptions" feature like under "Cookies" would be nice!!!

"Today's notice seeks information as to whether persons filing the electronic-only preregistration form prescribed by the Copyright Office will experience difficulties if it is necessary to use Microsoft's Internet Explorer web browser in order to preregister a work."
It's obviously a ploy to keep Internet Explorer as the default browser on those peoples machines.
I fear you'll never be able to send me that email. I thought firefox was great, not so sure about mozilla corp?
Posted by: Beer on August 12, 2005 09:10 PMYeah a 'do not tamper with settings on these sites' would be good, for things like online banking.
